Making sure that your child's shoes fit correctly is essential to their growth and preventing foot problems down the road. In this guide we will teach you how to properly fit your childs feet using our printable foot measurer.
1. Print
Open the file here and print it.
2. Make sure it printed correctly
Get a credit card and place it in the designated placeholder, in the bottom left, to make sure that it was printed correctly. If your credit card does not fit in the box correctly reprint the sheet and make sure that the print scale is set to default and the page size is set to US Letter.
3. Measure foot
Place the printable foot measurer on the ground. Put child's foot on the X at the bottom of the sheeat and make sure that the child's heel is lined up with the line at the bottom of the measurer. Get a straight edge and put it horizontally at the end of the child's longest toe and draw a line.
4. Measure other foot
It is essential to measure both of the child's feet in order to get the most accurate size. It is completely normal for your child's feet to be different sizes. Repeat step 3.
5. Find the correct size
Look at the printable foot measurer and find the line drawn for the largest foot's size. If you are buying a sneaker such as a New Balance or Saucony you will want to go up about half a size from the largest foot's size. If you are buying a SunSan sandal you will want to go down a size if they measured a half size or go true to size if they measured a whole size. If you are buying a Footmate sandal you will want to go up a half size if they measured a half size or go true to size if the measured a whole size. Note that these guides can be different based on style and it is often better to call or message us about how a shoe runs before you make an order.
